WILD HORSES SUFFER AS A RESULT
I work, on my own, in the Nv. leislature for animal related issues. It is very difficult to get past the committees concerned with the issues when the same people are appointed to serv on the committees time after time. In our case, there is definitately a conflict of interest.
Ex. our legislature only meets every odd year. For 3 sessions, a senator in Las Vegas presented a bill to outlaw Mexican horse tripping rodeos. Ten other states have already done this. The chairman of the natural resources committee has refused to hold hearings, much less take votes. I feel this is where many of our wild horses are going. Ranchers naturally want them off the range and continually adjust the law to insure this happens. The same people are appointed to this committee every session. It is hard to determine how this happens. I feel this is unethical. I would like to contact other people that may have had similar problems or have done something about it. Issues are not paramount here; a solution is. I can be emailed at email@example.com pete
